Ring up the sale. The books are already done.
Bookvue is your till, your stock and a real double-entry ledger in one system, built for South African businesses. A sale at the counter posts its own journal entry and takes the item off the shelf in the same moment. Nobody re-keys it.

One sale. Three records. One transaction.
Most tools for small businesses are a till that exports to accounting, or accounting that imports from a till, and the two drift apart. In Bookvue the sale is the accounting event, so there is nothing to export and nothing to reconcile later.

The stock movement
Written by the database the moment the line item lands
Everything the business runs on, in your words.
The app is organised around what you do each day. The accounting sits underneath it, and it is still there when your accountant asks.
Sell
A counter screen for one item or a full basket. Discounts, cash, card or EFT, change due, and receipts you can print or send on WhatsApp.
Stock
Items, stock levels and low-stock thresholds. Every sale moves the count, and every movement is on record.
Invoices
Invoices with VAT, customers, payments and what is still owed. Numbers are issued by the server, so they never repeat.
Spend
Expenses by category and date, so you can see where the money went.
Bank
Bank accounts, imported statements and reconciliation against the book balance, with items in transit.
Books
Chart of accounts, journal entries, the general ledger, recurring journals and the trial balance.
Correct where it counts.
This is software that handles your money and your VAT, so correctness is enforced at the lowest level available.
An unbalanced entry is refused by the database.
Debits must equal credits before an entry can post. That rule lives in the database, not in a form a bug could skip.
Two tabs can never issue the same number.
Invoice and journal numbers are minted on the server inside the same transaction as the record they belong to.
South African by default.
Amounts in rands, 15% VAT unless you change it, dates as 28 Sep 2026, and phone numbers in +27 format. Nothing to find in the settings.
Your team, your roles.
